Sue Hawkes is a nationally recognized leader in the residential development industry, specializing in the design, product positioning, marketing, and disposition strategy of multi-family real estate projects. Her distinguished career began in 1980 as Vice President with The Codman Company. In 1997, she joined The Collaborative Companies (TCC) as a Partner, ultimately acquiring the firm in 2008.
Under Ms. Hawkes' leadership, TCC's brand flourished, establishing its reputation as Boston's preeminent Real Estate Consulting firm. This market dominance led to its acquisition by NRT/Anywhere in 2016. TCC's regional strength is now enhanced by its global affiliation, supporting its analytical expertise and local market leadership, which collectively exceeds $20 billion in real estate transactions.
An early advocate for the value and nuances of on-site project marketing, Ms. Hawkes earned her MIRM (Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing) designation in 1985. She further contributed as a member of their Board of Trustees (1989-1993) and Chair of the MIRM/NSMC Awards Program. Nationally, Sue served on The National Association of Homebuilders' Executive Committee from 1992-1994, first as Chairman of the National Sales and Marketing Council, then as Chair of the Membership Committee. Locally, she further distinguished herself as President of the Builders Association of Greater Boston.
Ms. Hawkes has been the recipient of numerous national and local accolades, including NAHB’s Bill Molster Award, induction into the Builder Association Hall of Fame, and recognition in BISNOW’s Women in Real Estate.
Her current client roster reads like a "Who's Who" in multi-family real estate, featuring prominent names such as The Related Companies, New England Development, LendLease Development, Boston Properties, National Development, The Magellan Companies, Samuels and Associates, Hines, Cottonwood Group, and The Davis Companies.
