Biography

Sue Hawkes is a nationally recognized leader in the residential development industry, specializing in the design development, product positioning, marketing and disposition strategy of multi-family real estate projects. Sue began her career with The Codman Company in 1980, serving as Vice President, until joining The Collaborative Companies as a Partner, in 1997. Upon acquiring TCC in 2008, Ms. Hawkes elevated The Collaborative Companies brand, ultimately establishing its reputation as Boston’s preeminent Real Estate Consulting firm. The firm’s dominance resulted in its acquisition by NRT/Realogy in 2016. TCC’s regional strength is now buoyed by exposure to a world-wide conglomerate that supports its analytical expertise and local market dominance, now exceeding more that $15 billion dollars’ worth of real estate transactions.

An early adopter of the value and nuances of on-site project marketing, Ms. Hawkes earned her MIRM (Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing) designation in 1985, followed by serving as a member of their Board of Trustees from 1989-1993 and Chair of the MIRM/NSMC Awards Program. Sue served as a member of The National Association of Homebuilders’ Executive Committee from 1992-1994, first as Chairman of the National Sales and Marketing Council followed by Chair of the Membership Committee. She serves as a frequent lecturer at Babson’s Entrepreneurial Studies Program, NAIOP, ULI and REFA.

Her current client list resembles a “Who’s Who” in multi-family real estate. Among them – The Related Companies, New England Development, LendLease Development, Boston Properties, National Development, The Magellan Companies, Samuels and Associates and The Davis Companies, to name a few.
